ahh... The Dead never ends..

you know what valve? I think Left 4 Dead is awesome, I don't care about having to pay $50 for Left 4 Dead 2, I really pumped for the 'Crash Course' campaign, bringing 'No Mercy' and 'Death Toll' together, and I cant explain the amazing freaking awesomeness I've had with the game. It's just too much... Tanks spawning at the very begging of a level 5 times in a row, or sometimes never spawning in a level. I'm happy to even go to say that I'm even happy to fail at getting Nothing Special soo many times because that just means i get to try again. It just astonishing in general. So I'm proclaiming tonight the start of a new project, a so called 'documentary' with important game play of Left 4 Dead as played by me and *cough* *cough* other true Left 4 Dead players showcasing the amazing, epic, humorous, dramatic, or any other type of reason that Left 4 Dead is as freaking amazing to FPS Gaming as Casablanca was to movies...

Innovation with Half Life 2 Deathmatch

So last nite was a long late nite. I decided to play a not so recent game, Half Life 2 Death match. I didn't expect it to be that much fun. i didn't expect it to last till 7:45 in the morning either. The map was dm_dropoff (I think) where it was more than just straight up death match. The map was centered around a medium sized base with an old dry boat passageway surrounding it. In the base is a computer that, when activated, sets a timer for a missile launch. After the countdown has been commenced, the two main doors will begin to close. As they close, you can prop them open with objects letting your last couple of teammates, or enemies, able to crouch through. After the time is up, the missiles fly in and everyone outside the base is completely incinerated.

Me and my freind were on seperate teams, but we still worked together a bit. We eventually both made it into the control room at the same time. We had a truce and decided to barricade ourselves inside with props lying around. We were in there for a while hunkered down returning fire, but after 10 to 15 mins a rocket finally ended our rein. After this we realised that the countdown had been initiated. I booked it to the door, which was being held open slightly by a chair, and quickly crouched in as the bombs fell. I spun around and shot the chair out from underneath the door just as the blinding white light filled the screen... Intense

So thanks Valve, thanks for HL2DM and all the innovation you allow us to have

District 9

Since cloverfield I've been waiting for something that would be that awesome again. It seems that there is something about to be at theaters that may amount to the same level of different and innovative type of storytelling that i like. This new movie (film) is District 9.

Aliens have landed, and there not hostile... at first. They came for a visit, but then things went array. We started asking them about their weapons, they wanted to leave, we dont let them. They, the aliens, are then all housed in an area know as District 9. They then begin to revolt.

How Wii... had fun

On our recent church trip this past week I finally saw how the Wii has been put to good use. We went to a retirement home, which had a Wii, where we were to help out around the place and bond with the residents. It was actually a lot of fun, but i was really surprised how positivly the residents have responded to the system, they really like to bowl, and they seemed to like still being able to do things like bowl, golf, or even BOX! Anyway I was just excited to see videogames actually used for a true contentful and helpful event for once. It was cool

iPodwizard

So I got a message on youtube today and it seems less and less people are visting iPodwizard, my answer for this? With the release of new Apple Product after New Apple product people dont care for the older, more complex ways of customization and insted with ... ZOMG LIGHTNIG OUTSIDE!!! .... easier more simple ways of jailbreaking with the iPod touch and iPhone, not that theres anything wrong with jailbreaking but... I dont know how to say this, Ill just post the message I sent back to IPW...

-i agree, with people flocking to every new device apple puts out its harder to get others to pay attention to the older models, even with all the personal customization. I still have my old iPods and I will never EVER get rid of them or lose them, they are some of my most important possesions i own. Everything I learned (iPod hackit wise that is) came from all the forums at IPW, without all that i would not have ever been inspired to go into proggramming or anything like that, without all that I dont know where i would be, long story short IPW sparked my initiative to begin to do things insted of sitting around talking and thinking about them,to stop being so freaking lazy and do something. Sure ill start being more in volved with the forums but to save IPW, something will need to happen, like a new project or something big, something that would catch Apple, the general population, and anyones elses attention-

Visit the site, visit the forums, it's a very nice community they have set up, and its not just about iPods either, lots of good people

Fallout 3 - Point Lookout

I haven't really talked about the Fallout 3 DLCs much so since anywhere is a good place to start let us start with the most recent DLC Point Lookout.

Story:
Buy a ticket and hop on board the Duchess Gambit, as Tobar the Ferryman takes you to the strange seaside town of Point Lookout. What secrets does the dilapidated boardwalk hold? Who lives in the sprawling mansion? Why is the Punga Fruit so important? And what horrors lie in the depths of the murky swamp?

Point Lookout is the most open-ended DLC yet, and allows you to explore a huge, swampy wasteland any way you’d like. A completely new quest line allows you uncover the town’s hidden secrets and wield powerful new weapons like the Double-Barrel Shotgun against the swamp’s dangerous, and deformed, denizens.

- Fallout 3 Official Site

Yes this DLC was quite amazing. Had some pretty good big and little plot twist along the way. Lots of new enemies including something that resembles an inbred zombie, and a very rude but cool ghoul Named Desmond. Although the entire DLC was awesome there were 4 major high points I think that need careful attention to all the work that Bethesda puts into this game.

High Point 1 - When you reach the "sprawling mansion" know as Calvert Mansion you will only have a brief amount of time to take in all the nice architecture as your quickly thrust into a massive defensive attack that closely resembles a zombie outbreak. There is also a very good demonstration of the Physics Engine used in Fallout 3; use grenades in rooms with lots of plates and other things of the sort. Explosions, falling through multiple floors, last stands and a fail safe are all included.

High Point 2 - Your later sent on a mission to obtain Punga Fruit Seeds from the Master Punga Fruit, upon reaching it you are sprayed by the plant and sent on a massive "acid trip" seeing things that im not going to ruin, but all I can tell you is that it was like nothing ever experienced on Fallout 3 before.

High Point 3 - Later at the Calvert mansion something else huge occurs leading to a massive _______ and ________ of _________ fly everywhere. One of my favorite top moments of fallout ever.

High Point 4 - The final battle can be amazing depending on how you play it out, just don't make it boring, live and be epic.

LOWEST POINT EVER - At the "end" of the DLC I noticed something, I got no XP for anything, in fact I cant get any XP anymore, Im only at level 27, Bug in update?

And have you heard about id Software and Bethesdas little innuendo?

Now on a completely different note, Left 4 Dead, I've killed 46,107 infected (zombies) out of the 53,595 need for the Zombie Genocidest Achievement and I'm now going full force BEAST MODE on anything that moves so watch out
